Shaandaar is a love story of two insomniacs, Alia and Jagjinder Joginder, who met at a Shaandaar wedding. Bipin Arora (Alia's father) is against them falling in love. According to Bipin, no one is good enough for his daughter and defintately not Jagjinder Joginder.

It is also a story of Eesha Arora (the bride and Alia's sister) and Robin Fundwani (the groom) who are pushed into this wedding, which is actually a business merger between Kamla Arora and Harry Fundwani, two very big industrialists who believe weddings are nothing more than business.
